A lavish dinner scene showing the presentation of a medal to Lord Nelson by Sir Benjamin West, the President of the Royal Academy. The scene shows a large dinner table with a model of a sailing ship on it. Behind the table stand a number of figure including a man wearing a red sash across his chest.
