About the Work
This drawing is probably from John Weeks' trip through North Africa in 1927-1928. It is most likely located in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco/North Africa Maghreb. The exact location and correct spelling of the hilltop village is unknown, Weeks has also spelt the village name as Tagendaft on other drawings.
