Description
Framed oil painting portrait of a woman with dark hair tied back wearing a white apron and black shawl, seated in front of a table with her hands clasped in her lap. Seated on a burgundy red chair, Behind her the table has a red side and tableleg. On the pale tabletop are several household items including a blue jug, blue jar, with two pale brown/yellow bowls. On the other side of the table are visible the tops of two brown wooden chairs. Behind them is an angled band of green at upper right of the image. Behind the figure and below the table is a flat blue expanse. The forms are clearly delineated with faceted forms and dark outlined shapes. Everything behind the figure looks placed at an angle with the background tilted up towards the viewer.
