This is one of the sculptures in our collection. It was made in Aotearoa New Zealand in 1973.
About the Work
In 1973 Cliff was resident in Wanganui as the Education Department Art Adviser and the Gallery commissioned him to produce two works for the Gallery Collection. This work, along with his piece Korero, were the first by a Māori artist to enter the collection.

Description
Sculptural relief panel of linoleum with grooves carved into it and holes right through it around two wooden carved manaia forms. Framed and unglazed with a small brass plaque at centre of the bottom edge of the frame.
