Description
Unusual in comparison to other works by the artist from the Sarjeant Collection, this sitter has no facial features. However the use of a strong colour pallet and the light and dark is more typical of the artists repetoire and this, coupled with the title and the subjects pose is perhaps the reflection of a certain feeling towards the sitter with an air of haughtiness.
