About the Work
This image makes me wonder. But it's also impressive. The red rim of the boat contrasting with the blues of the sounds makes me think about what's next on their journey, what else might they encounter?
Rose Hird, recipient of the WDC Youth Committee Recognition award in the 2019 patillo Whanganui Arts Review, for the Sep 2019 instalment of the My Choice exhibition series.

Negryn says of his work in New Zealand: 'There is such a diversity of scenery in New Zealand that I think I have to come back many times more to come even close to capture it all. Photographing New Zealand is like wandering around a big studio, all the ingredients are there, it takes just time and concentration to put them together.'
