Description
Collection of six illustrations from the journal The Link mounted together on a sheet of paper. Published during the First World War, the journal attempted to record aspects of life for the members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. It includes stories and poems written by various authors, accompanied by illustrations drawn by Vivian Smith, G Tarr, and Marcus King.

‘Spieler’ is a noun meaning ‘a glib or voluble speaker’ or ‘a gambler or swindler’ [Aust/NZ]. It can also refer to a gambling house.
