About the Work
This print is part of a portfolio produced by Globe Editions in Auckland New Zealand in 1995 by James Ross the editor and publisher. Each portfolio consists of 1 print each by four artists from around the world. This initial portfolio focused on artists from NZ, Australia, Great Britain, Europe and the USA. The concept was that each of the artists represented in the first portfolio would then have input as to who the next artist from their geographic area would be for the next portfolio produced, ensuring a varied and unexpected selection of artists. Each edition consists of 25 portfolios, with 10 artist proofs and 2 publisher proofs. Each work in the edition was signed. The portfolios were sold on subscription via selected art dealers with 5 copies only available in each of the 5 countries identified above. Another collection that purchased this portfolio is the National Gallery of Australia.
