About the Work
My Neighbourhood Landmark Series involved photographing mom and pop businesses throughout North America for over 25 years often travelling off the interstates to find them in out of the way places. The "landmarks' were the places or businesses that the locals used to give directions. This diner on Route 17 in upstate New York was built in 1946. (I was born in 1946).
