About the Work
"A
fine
piece
of
blue
glass,
Resign
is
central
to
Murray’s
main
body
of
work.
This
piece
demonstrates
the
artist’s
strong
interest
in
solid
glass
structures
and
is
a
move
away
from
previous
works
which
display
a
sharp
and
threatening
edge.
Modelled
by
the
play
of
light,
Resign
will
be
seen,
by
turns,
as
being
both
monumental
and
ethereal
and
in
that
way
is
clever
not
only
in
its
construction
and
theory,
but
this
also
means
it
will
present
itself
in
a
different
manner
every
time
it
is
exhibited".
