Description
a) Sketchbook containing drawings thought to have been made by Vivian Smith during active service in World War I. The drawings include caricatures, mythological subjects, illustrations, compositional studies, and sketches of ships and military personnel.

b) Calling card reading: Vivian Smith / Norfolk Lodge / Sheffield.

c) Sheet of paper depicting a wartime scene, dated May 1918. A pile of military equipment, including a hat and a bag is located in the mid-ground. A figure lying on his front can be seen in the distance. A boot is visible in the foreground on the far left.

d) Sheet of paper depicting a wartime scene. Five figures can be seen at work, some with pick axes. They are possibly digging a tunnel. The work is undated.
