Object Detail

115 x 61 diameter mm
Ceramic goblet with a zig zag of clay running down the front of the cup. The inside of the base of the cup is very puckered and the neck has a slab of clay wrapped around it. The top edge of the slab is very obvious where it meets the bottom of the cup. The seam of the slab around the neck is on the right (as observed) and has two pieces of clay that look like stitches across it. The neck flares out at the bottom and sits on a much wider base. Putty coloured clay covered in a reddish brown wash. On the bottom is a sticker with "38"on it.
