About the Work
I
have
done
quite
a
few
paintings
of
parks
which
like
monuments
say
a
lot
about
communities.
I
was
taken
to
this
dark
lake
by
my
Auntie
Fay.
I
did
a
woodcut
of
it.
I
saw
it
as
quite
artificial
and
a
kind
of
European
invasion
in
its
own
way.
