Dear Ed,
you will be glad to hear that [illegible] has been cabled to [illegible] by bank for me. I’m pleased for your sake, it will relieve the pressure a bit for both of us. I hope you are quite cheerful not worrying about the exhib. although I [sic] awfully sorry for you but I expect there is time yet + perhaps you can try again next year. I was unlucky with my test, it fortunately does’nt count as it is the first which I got through that counts. Will be wiring again if I’m coming or not on Sat. or Sunday. Good-bye Edith I got the socks safely xx
