Dear Edith,
I thought I had better get your letters answered before I came home for my Xmas holidays. I hear you & Aunt Fansma [?] are thinking of taking a trip to Wellington I hope you will save a little time for me. It will be a nice trip for you & I suppose you deserve a good holiday. We had our school concert & it was a great success. They took all 3 & so that was very good. Lily Parkes came yesterday & is going to stay a few days. Mrs Fred Aiken & her little boy came up with her & spent the day & she has such a grand little boy. You will be surprised to hear Douglas Wright has left Feilding. He left yesterday. He had a squabble with his boss so gave him a weeks notice He went to Wellington yesterday to try for a billet there. A traveller is trying to get him a place in L Smiths. He has not told his Mother yet. So I believe you have been acting on the stage what does Miss [Luekew?] think about it. Given you up as a bad lot I expect. Our minister with the wife & family are coming back to Feilding
I feel sure there [their] reception will be a very cool one. Have you a girl now or are you cook [illeg.] I am getting a new dress made to be a [illeg.] when I come to see you.
Harry has swarms of chickens, more than have lived out [illeg.]. Well Edith I think I have given you what little news I know. Hope Mother & all are well. Love to every one.
