About the Work
Last
night
after
we
came
home
we
went
to
an
Organ
recital
by
Mr
Maugham
Bennett,
in
the
Town
Hall.
I
will
send
you
a
programme
with
this
letter.
I
have
not
been
to
see
the
pictures
yet.
Last
Thursday
we
went
to
the
presentation
of
diplomas
in
the
afternoon,
the
students
were
very
noisy
and
would
not
listen
to
the
speeches
at
all,
and
were
making
remarks
and
blowing
whistles
etc
all
the
time.
At
night
we
went
to
the
Students
concert
which
we
enjoyed
very
much.
I
have
seen
Olive
[illeg.]
several
times,
she
cannot
move
her
arm
at
all
yet,
but
looks
much
better
than
she
did.
Last
Tuesday
we
went
to
the
Choral
Societys
concert.
I
have
been
out
almost
every
night
since
I
have
been
here
Daisy
is
taking
part
in
a
debate
about
town
and
country
life
next
Tuesday.
everyone
has
been
helping
her
to
write
out
her
speech.
I
think
she
is
the
funniest
girl
I
have
ever
seen,
she
makes
us
laugh
all
day
long
with
the
funny
things
she
says.
I
think
Katie
will
be
able
to
come
to
stay
with
us
in
September
The
Miss
Finlayson
that
you
know
is
going
to
Christchurch
at
the
end
of
this
week
I
am
glad
as
she
did
not
like
Oamaru
at
all.
Did
you
go
to
the
boat
race
this
time?
I
am
reading
“BleakHouse”
by
Charles
Dickens
but
have
not
read
very
much
of
it.
Have
they
got
a
minister
for
St
Pauls
yet?
I
am
going
to
hear
Rev.
Giblyon
[?]
Smith
next
Sunday
I
think,
I
am
very
anxious
to
hear
him
preach.
Has
Miss
Abercrombie
been
in
to
see
you
about
going
to
class
yet,
she
told
me
she
was
going
to
[too],
Miss
Currie
is
going
back
until
we
can
get
a
new
leader
so
I
hope
you
will
be
able
to
go.
Have
you
seen
Bella
lately.
Please
give
my
love
to
your
Mother
and
the
others
with
love
from
Minna.
