My dear Dorothy.
Many happy returns of the 5th I am a bit late I always forget the date up here – How do you like being thirty. The [illeg.] is growing like [illeg.] thing Jack & Agnes even have arguments about how they will train her when she is grown up Jack says she is not to be having any young men Agnes says she will do as she likes Jack said if I catch her flirting I’ll put my foot on her neck & my hand on her [illeg.] in the meantime, he is, as soft as butter with her.
Did you go to the Arts & Crafts how did you like W Evans etchings I see he had a lot in the paper didn’t say much about him

Would you mind sending my [illeg.] brown silk dress the sleeves are torn but I’ll fix them up & any thin dress that happens to be in my room also my camisole that Thea made for me – a silk one, there is a [illeg.] – also my silk night dress or any night dress. could you send it [illeg.] very soon.
The garden looks very nice up here. Jack has some pretty trees. Mrs Pepper was up here Saturday she is getting excited about her trip George is [getting?] her a beautiful dress. they are leaving in March. Jack sends you a fat kiss for your birthday & he says he will write to you as soon as he can get a [illeg.]

[Reg's Writing]
These two chefs are the biggest pair of skites I know. The first thing they say when we sit down to tea how do you like the soup & the apple pie, better than Annie made it
Edith has got quite a gay old spark very shy of long necked Jim at first rush out of the kitchen as soon as one of them would come in sight but now she waggs [sic] away goodo [sic], done more good than ten years in England. They are very curious to know what I am writing about so don’t say anything. Many happy returns for the 5th Dolly. I am sending down some golf balls for your birthday to make up for the ones I have lost at first opportunity
Received Thea’s letter yesterday must write to Mum & Thea before shearing, finish docking Monday so will write next week
