TRANSCRIPTION:
Dear Miss Collier,
I recently became a member of the Womens International Art Club. I turned up there on [illeg.] day expecting to see some of your great masterpieces & was very much dissappointed [disappointed] to find that you had not sent.
The secretary told me that the society had heard nothing of you since you went away.
I do hope you won’t desert, particularly just now when I have just become a member. I’m wondering whether any communications which have been sent to you have gone astray,
I notice that in the catalogue they have your address all wrong, or else I’ve got it all wrong. Anyway I’m sending this to what I believe the address to be, so I hope you’ll get it.
When are you coming back? & are you painting great things?
John has a most wonderful show on at the Alpine Club, it’s a great treat.
I’m still trying to paint & still sending bad paintings out to exhibitions. I have got a cheek haven’t I?
Write me sometime, please. When you can.
Sincerely yours,
J. Littlejohns
