I would have liked to have seen him very much but perhaps I’ll see him next time. I am just going to write tonight & tell him I [illeg.] They are a bit slow at the High Commision at sending letters on I think – got so much to do I suppose,
Jack Russell was ggGoing up to Scotland for 2 days & 3 days in London. I was telling Jim & ….of some good Y.M.C.A. to stay at, it is wonderful what those places have done, for the soldiers. Isnt awful about Lord Kitchener one would think they could have managed it better as he was under the protection of the Party. Arnt [sic] the Irish going it hot & strong poor old England has its hands full just now. I have just heard from Mrs [illeg.] they had just heard of Mrs [illeg,] death. I will be glad to get those photos of you & the family have great Miss Davy turning up like that. I am waiting to hear any day about Reg & [illeg] leaving. It would have been Jack Russell & Mrs Russell about her beloved son.
I hope you can read this as it is nearly dark. It is [illeg.[ 10 o’clock
