John Bailey
Biography
John Bailey has recently returned to working full time on his art practice after 20 years working in the commercial world. In the 1980s he exhibited widely throughout New Zealand combining installation and sculptural works with many supporting works on paper. Today, John is continuing the practice he started back in the late 1970s, further exploring the themes and visualisations that motivate his artistic output.
John has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions thoughout New Zealand during the 1970s and 1980's and received 3 QEII Arts Council Grants during the 1980s. His works are held in private and public collections throughout New Zealand.
