Lithographic print, monochromatic, showing a panorama of the Whanganui River as viewed from the South Bank. Figures are visible in the foreground, sailing boats and waka on the river, on the far bank are buildings at the foot of a hill. On top of the hill is the Rutland Stockade. A tree frames the scene at the far right.
