About the Work
Philip Clairmont was an expressionist painter. Clairmont was influenced by the ‘psychedelic' culture which affected the way he approached art and the state of mind he preferred to be in while making his artwork. A trademark of his is the infusion of chaos and energy into everyday objects, such as a clothes line.
