Description
One of Howorth's local Wanganui scenes. More sketchlike than his usual works and in a darker palette. A common composition for his more pastoral scenes, such as this, as a grove or group of trees/bush to one side of the painting and animals such as sheep or cattle at the other. This painting also includes his characteristic cloudy and atmospheric sky.
