This is a mid 19th century French example of silvered ivory sticks, note the large proportions with hand-tinted lithograph leaf emulating the 18th century style.

Description
Ivory fan with decorated guards and sticks with silver inlay and punched decoration. The pleated paper leaf has multi-coloured scenes with courting figures, animals, paying music, sharing food, with a lake and building in the background. On the verso is another scene however with less detail.
