Scribbled on top left corner: My husband joins me in kindest regards yrs [sic] sincerely May Watts
Dear Miss Collier
I was so pleased to get your letter. Please excuse delay in answering it, but I have been busy, as I am still without a maid. & Violet & Miss White have been away on holidays. I heard from Miss Cullinane that you had not got your keys. How very strange it is! I hope you will get them alright. I suppose you have seen the arrival of some of the poor Belgians how very sad their lot is poor things to be turned out of their homes & out of their country. I do trust the war news will continue brighter than it has been, it is certainly much better the last couple of days or so thank God. I received such a nice little photo from Mrs Gurner to-day [sic] taken on the road to Curraghmore. I am so glad you all enjoyed that day so well. Poor little Bonmahon is very lovely now, but when fine it is very pretty you would love to see the autumn tints just now.
