About the Work
TRANSCRIPTION:
Dear Ed,
I’m home for a few days prior to having my examination or better known as a Test. It should be at the end of the present [illeg.] week probably Friday. I have been handling machine alright – it is rather fine sport. Am anxious to get my Test done with & am confident enough about going right through easily enough. I have read Reg’s & Your letters – it has been a jolly meeting – My turn next that isn’t mean to have a jolly meeting I’ll [illeg.] more when I’m actually there eh! There is every indication that with luck I shall be due to leave soon. I’m so missing you know because it actually does seem close to the time [illeg.] [illeg.] Edith till I meet you best love
Your [?affectionate] brother Harry
Write a longer letter when I’m through the test
