Description
Glazed ceramic plate with a blue/green rim and a gold painted flower design on the rim. In the middle of the white centre of the plate is an image transfer showing a head and shoulders colour portrait of a Māori man wearing a traditional cloak with moko (facial tattoo) and white short hair and moustache. In the lower right of the portrait's chest is the text "Denton Photo". On the underside of the plate is an inscription "MADE IN GERMANY / FOR / [GEO?] HADFIELD, / WELLINGTON N.Z"
