Description
Painting completed in a narrow vertical format showing a waka (canoe) on a still calm river with a single occupant using a stick for propulsion/steering. They are in the middle distance. In the foreground are some reeds in the water and a vertical stand of NZ native bush, in the distance are hills extending into the river and sun on the far riverbank with a misty haze. The frame is covered in red velvet fabric.
