Notes from discussion with her daughter Jewel Bristol 16/11/2016
Born in India and died young at Whanganui hospital.
Her parents were missionaries and sent her to NZ at 20 years of age.
She learnt to be a nurse and fell in love with a patient, married him. Perhaps the parents weren't happy with her choice and was sent to NZ after this?
Her art was self taught, she tatended a very good school in India.
Moved to Whanganui in 1942.
Was teaching at night tech in the 1950's at the Boys College
Taught a wide variety of courses for quite a while: pottery, cake decorating etc
Was possibly involved with the Wanganui Arts Society and produced artwork in the 1950's & 1960's.
Her pottery in the 1960's was sold around NZ. Was involved in lots of committees.
