Description
Drawing of a group of men seated around a fire. Peter is seated near the centre of the composition. He has been approached by the slave girl, who in the gospels identifies him as one of Jesus' disciples. As prophesied, he denies knowing Jesus three times. The rooster that crowed following his third denial can be seen perched on a wall nearby. In the upper left hand corner, Jesus can be seen being led away by the guards.

The drawing is part of a set of works depicting the Passion of Christ.
