Description
Black and white photograph taken at the Levin Racing Club Ryder STakes 1978 showing the winner's cup and silver platters with the prizes of bottles of wine, cartons of alcohol etc. All laid out on wooden boards at different heights and covered with a sheet. Behind the prize table is standing a man wearing a dark jacket with dark curly hair. He looks to be the NZ poet Sam Hunt. From the artist's 'Race Day' portfolio which completed his Honours degree at the University of Canterbury.
