Description
Board mounted with photographs of paintings by Vivian Smith as follows:
Top, left to right: Unidentified painting of a male figure, a second figure lies prone on the ground behind him alongside a piece of machinery, possibly a canon; The Crinoline (X2014/1106), shown with frame; Lion (1988/27/44).
Second row: Unidentified painting depicting a central figure with large wings surrounded by five other figures, possibly all mythological.
Third row, left to right: Titus (illeg.) in the Stocks (1988/27/126); The Blue Feather (X2014/1105); Queen Mary at London Bridge (1988/27/46).
Fourth row: The Crinoline (X2014/1106), detail.

The board is undated, but was likely compiled in the late 1910s or early 1920s. Two of the works, The Crinoline and The Blue Feather were shown at the annual exhibition of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts in 1913. Lion is thought to have been exhibited in 1917.
