Description
Drawing in black ink on paper of a town square. An inscription along the bottom edge of the drawing reads: Lisbon. The drawing likely depicts the Praça do Comércio. The centre of the composition is occupied by the large equestrian statue of King José I by Machado de Castro. The Castle of São Jorge can be seen on the hill in the distance. The drawing is thought to have been made while Joan Grehan was travelling in Lisbon, Portugal.
